34 Dead in Russian Airliner Crash -- Most of the Victims From Kontinental Hockey League's Lokomotiv Ice Hockey Team

YAROSLAVL, Russia – At least 34 people died in a plane crash near the city of Yaroslavl in Central Russia. The aircraft’s maximum capacity is 120 passengers, including crew members, while there were 37 passengers were on board at the time of plane crash.

The three lucky survivors are reported as in critical position and have been shifted to the hospital.

Reportedly, a Yakovlev Yak-42 passenger plane crashed and caught fire moments after taking off. It crashed just 500 meters away from runway.

According to details; the Yak-42 plane was on its way to the Belarusian capital Minsk and most of the victims are member of the local ice hockey team Lokomotiv.
