Justin Bieber's release Christmas Album 'Under the Mistletoe'

The biggest male pop star in the world right now, Justin Bieber, has just released his album of Christmas songs - including a duet with Mariah Carey on the classic Christmas hit 'All I Want for Christmas is You' as well as a number of new, original songs and collaborations with some of the biggest artists in the world - Boyz II Men, Usher and Busta Rhymes.

So what can we expect from this new album? Well, according to industry insiders, this album could be full of soon-to-be Christmas classics - songs that we've never heard before that could really spell the start of a new wave of modern Christmas songs. We've become so used to hearing the same Christmas songs over and over again, year after year, that we don't expect to hear new songs and we don't expect to hear anything different - so Bieber's album could really shake things up in the music world. Even the Christmas covers are most definitely new and different - the whole album is a real change from the usual Christmas fodder.

The collaborations with some of the hottest R&B acts around could also become major players in the Christmas song industry - they have a real modern and funky edge to them, and they are most definitely not the usual Jingle Bells renditions. The first release from the album, 'Mistletoe', is a corker of a single - very relaxed and chilled out, with acoustic guitars and Christmassy bells in the background. But I must say, without the jingle bells, you might not think that this was actually a Christmas song - but that's just my opinion!

Speaking to CNN, Bieber said this about his new album: "It's got a lot of original songs that people have never heard before, so it's going to be a really special Christmas album." Some of the proceeds of each album will also go to the Pencils of Promise charity, an organisation that helps children in third world countries to go to school, providing them with books and equipment. Biebs said, "That's the reason I'm in this position - I'm able to give back. There are a lot of kids out there who need help and need food and need schooling, and Pencils of Promises is a charity that I work with that gives to schools in Third World countries. It's just really special to me."

Justin has also spoken out about his new upcoming album that will be released sometime next year after this seasonal album. He's been writing, playing and producing far more than ever before - speaking to MTV News, Bieber said, "I'm writing about how I feel and producing. I've been producing on my laptop and on my computer. I've been really into it, and hopefully, this next album would be huge. I've done a lot on my acoustic guitar, so it's gonna have that vibe."

We can definitely assume that Bieber has drawn inspiration from his relationship with sweetheart Selena Gomez for both his Christmas album and his upcoming album - the track list for 'Under the Mistletoe' is as follows and features a number of romantic Christmas tunes:
