Why 'Moneyball' Star Jonah Hill Is Living With His Parents

The 27-year-old actor admits, "It's this juxtaposition of feeling annoyed and really lucky to have people who love you so much."

Jonah Hill has worked steadily in feature films since his breakthrough role in 2007's Superbad and recently formed his own production company, JHF, to create film and television projects.

But in a surprising admission, Hill, 27, is living with his parents while promoting his latest film, Moneyball.

The actor told the Huffington Post that while his own home was being renovated, he moved back in with his mom and dad to spend time with his younger sister, "My sister just left for college. It's very sad for me because we're very close, so instead of getting another apartment while my house is being renovated or be in a hotel, I liked to spend that time with her before she was leaving for the next chapter in her life."

He said the time at home is "this juxtaposition of feeling annoyed and really lucky to have people who love you so much." He continued, "I'm almost 28 and it's not fun to be asked, 'What are you doing today? What do you want for dinner? When are you going to be home?' It just makes you feel like a kid."

In Moneyball, Hill plays Peter Brand, a Yale economics grad whose analysis of players helps the Oakland A's reach the playoffs when everyone else writes them off for dead.
The Hollywood Reporter critic Kirk Honeycutt was impressed by Hill's on-screen rappor with Brad Pitt.

He writes, "The scenes between Pitt and Hill are all delights as they struggle to find a working language and then a means to impose their newfound will on the most tradition-minded of sports. It’s a great comedy act, with Pitt insisting that Hill complete his thoughts or amplify their concepts to the slack-jawed baseball scouts.
Hill's upcoming projects include the animated Fox series Allen Gregory (from his JHF shingle), the 21 Jump Street feature film reboot and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
