Every other week we have been having summer playdates at Ikea
These are mostly with Theo and Throy, Wednesday afternoons
Its nice and cool inside, we all have some lunch
Holly likes the Mac and Cheese and the Chicken Strips
Mostly she likes running around and playing
Both in the kids toy section
But more so in the little demo rooms they have set up.
I think most of all she likes to play with Theo
He is a big kid, and even more hilarious then Daddy or teacher Jon
Plus he has unending energy and he is pretty patient
He helps watch Holly too which is lovely and gives me a chance to talk with his mom.
But the two of them are also big trouble when they get together
They totally rial each other up, it is adorable
Holly follows Theo around like a little puppy
They are so cute together and we have really enjoyed the friendship
Ikea is a great place for a playdate when you simply don;t have the energy to clean at home.
On another day we went to Satine's house for a play date
The original plan was to go swimming at the complex pool
But it ended up being a cold day and we stayed inside for some lunch and dress-up
Satine has a Beautiful princess dress that Holly adored
She called it her Cinderella dress because it was blue. I was so happy that she was willing to share it.
And she had a Cinderella doll that looked similar so Holly wanted to carry it all around
The play date was a little bumpy, Holly was a little sleepy, so she was overly sensitive whenever Satine told her "no"
Satine wanted things a certain way and Holly didn't want to comply. There were things she didn't want to share that Holly wanted.
They had a dispute over shoes. Holly wanted to wear a pair of Sandrine's, but Satine told her they were not for Dress-up. Later Satine pulled her hair
But surprisingly they worked through all there issues and the next day Holly asked if Satine could come over to her house for a play date. Kids are resilient, and amazing.
