THE woman who claims Justin Bieber fathered her baby could be investigated by police for statutory rape.

Mariah Yeater, 20, says she had sex with the singer last year after being invited backstage to meet him at a concert in LA.
In a lawsuit lodged in San Diego, she has demanded that Bieber take a paternity test and "provide adequate support" for her four-month-old boy.
Bieber has denied the claims, calling them "malicious and defamatory".
LA police could be obliged to investigate the claims because Bieber was 16 at the time of the allegation.
Police Commander Andrew Smith told AP: "If it's brought to our attention, of course we'll look into it."
Mariah had just turned 19 when she says she and Bieber had sex. She said Bieber had told her it was his first time and was embarrassed it lasted 30 seconds.

She said: "I asked him to put on a condom for protection but he insisted he did not want to. He said because it was his first time he wanted to feel everything."
She says she gave birth to a boy, Tristyn, in July and believes Bieber was the father because there were no other possible men she had sex with at that time.
She is asking a judge for child support and a paternity test. A hearing is scheduled for December 15.
California law states anyone who has unlawful sex with a minor and is not more than three years older is guilty of a misdemeanour, which carries up to a one-year jail sentence.
"The issue of statutory rape even if she's guilty has no bearing on the duties to provide child support," said Mariah's lawyer Matthew Pare.
"It's a totally separate issue."
Bieber fans have already tweeted death threats against her. One fan said: "I could kill this bitch. SHE IS SOOO DEAD."

She's asking for $12,000 a month in child support.

Bieber stopped by "The Today Show" Friday (Nov. 4) not to perform a song or promote his album, but to address the allegations lobbied against him by Yeater (that's a picture of her from Facebook above).

Bieber says, "I'd just like to say basically that none of those allegations are true. I know I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim. Every night after the show, I've gone right from th stage right to my car. It's crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations, but to set the record straight, none of it is true."

When Matt Lauer puts it to him straight - "Have you ever met Mariah Yeater?"

Bieber says, "Never met the woman."

But he seems to be taking it in stride, as he says he realizes this is what happens when you're as famous as he is.

Mariah Yeater pictures released online today depict a woman covered in plastic wrap in some pictures and striking unusual facial poses in other pictures. Yeater by early morning had no Facebook nor Twitter account; yet by afternoon, multiple fake Mariah Yeater Facebook and Twitter accounts had been established.
Yeater is a 20 year old resident of San Diego County, LALATE exclusively revealed earlier today. While her claims prompted skepticism from some, pictures of her son Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater prompted belief from others.
While Justin Bieber has yet to indicate who will represent him in the paternity suit, Mariah Yeater has retained two San Diego County based attorneys, LALATE can exclusively report. The first lists four practice areas of work, none of which have anything to do with paternity or family law (“criminal defense”, “civil litigation”, “asset forfeiture” and “small business representation”) but rather work as a “local trial attorney and a pioneer in medical marijuana law, specializing in presenting the Individual and Collective Medical Marijuana Defenses.”
The other attorney claims to be “one only attorneys in the country who specializes in defending television signal piracy cases.” He also lists “personal injury cases” among his practice areas, LALATE can report.

Yeater has asked for a fee waiver of all court costs in the matter. The case has been assigned to the South Bay Division of the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego. As reported first on LALATE, Mariah Yeater is a resident of San Diego County, her son was born in and still resides within the County.
And while she is asking for a waiver of court costs, Mariah Yeater is also asking that the court award her attorney fees (payable by Justin Bieber) and her legal costs, LALATE can exclusively report. She lists the attorney’s fee rate as $300 per hour. Yeater doesn’t not specify the exact the amount for child support that she is seeking from Justin Bieber. But she is asking that he “provide adequate support for the baby.”
